A new Forum structure
« on: July 26, 2016, 01:47:23 AM »
I have been thinking about Promotion plan for the forum but I think before that we need to reorganize the forum. This structure has been salvaged from old version but you can see some sections are empty. So I want re do the Ecchiworld forum structure to make it more beneficial to Anyone who want to use the forum.

Any suggestions are welcome  Not just about structure but also about rules , goals and any new ideas.

That would be really good to see some changes happening here.

My first suggestion is mature content should be allowed with some limits. I think those few members we have here are fine with mature/adult content and it's not like we have received too many members who want to keep child safe. Basically it's better to be a 18+ site than let underage members to roam here freely. After all there is MR for everything else.

I'm glad to see people getting active here. I think we should change the structure into something like in MR.

Structure suggested by Yuki is good I think. There should be General Discussion boards for Artist/writer/Manga sections though.

I thought about Hentai Board too. 1+ If we become a mature forum then I don't see why we shouldn't have a Hentai board. Anyone who doesn't like that stuff can stay out of it.

As long as forum doesn't become another Pornhub it should be fine I think. At long as everyone stay decent and mature about what they post.

Looks like I need to make my username double anonymous now.

The H board really goes into another ball park by default. But that would increase traffic for sure.

The problem with ecchi art is that it's unforgiving more than other forms when it comes to not drawing things sexy enough, but it seems like a good idea.

I wish I had clearer suggestions, but I think the best we can do is participate more.

I was more talking about mature artwork and stories rather than a Hentai board. But if we start accepting mature artwork then we will have to go 18+ and then I guess there is no point avoiding Hentai. As long as it stays in a decent limit.

Well I'm all for it. It's all about how we can control the whole things. If we herd new members in right direction and weed out any problematic cases it shouldn't be hard to keep things in decent level.

Plus we have been pg13 for years and it's not like anyone had any interest in forum. So why not try something else and look at new directions ?

Yeah, it might do some good to reorganize. I like Yuki's idea for structure, although I think "Accoutrements" meant "Announcements."

I'm sure she meant Announcement. :)

So no need of separate boards for Manga and Anime ?

I think that could be determined by the title of the thread. Something like Witchblade, for example, has an American comic book, a manga, and an anime that are all completely different from one another, so a thread about it might have to determine which, if not all of the above, are being addressed.

This is little off topic but I want to ask how do you plan to promote the forum and get new members ?

Well, it's either prefixes or child boards IMO, so it's a matter of how you want to navigate, and what you want to scroll through. For now, though, we're fairly small, and it might be easier to have it all in one place and stick with prefixes until we get large enough to separate them out again, if that makes sense.

Also, I'd be fine putting a link to here in my signature on MR, if that'd be acceptable.

Yeah we can go with prefix method for now.

About new members it's bit complicated. When we started old Ecchworld we use the ghost to ghost method (something from Secret Seven books) mean we each tried to recruit a new member. We got like 10 members in first month. then 20 ) well it's not easy as it look though.

We just have to personaly talk with artists and writers who do ecchi / mature art /stories and invite them to post here.

Reminds me of an artist on MR...does Snacks already have an account here? If not, we might should talk to him. Great artist, too.
