Nice work on the figures, I think you're definitely making progress! I think with proportions, it helps to do a full figure in a neutral pose where you can see the feet planted. Since proportions are best thought of as ratios rather than hard lengths or sizes that you always adhere I find forcing yourself to do a full figure helps a lot with finding your wings when it comes to different proportions for different characters. It also makes it a bit easier to critique as well because somethings that appear to be errors may not be once the full figure is in view!

Hey all, it's definitely been a while but since I can't really post this elsewhere I thought I'd drop this here for anyone still around!

Did this for a Discord art challenge, the rules were draw: Mermaid, big ass, small boobs, pointy ears

I think I made a lot of mistakes with this one but it was still fun to draw!

Great job on the skin tones! I can't help but feel like something is a little bit off with the proportions though I'm not entirely sure where. If I had to guess at a glance it seems like the thighs are a bit too long and it's in turn making the arms feel a little stubby. I'm not sure if that's what you intended but the figure feels somewhat child like to me as a result.

I need to finalize and finish these designs but I couldn't help myself. I took a day long break from art and the first thing I do is lewd my innocent OC  :laugh: good to know I'm not the only one that does this

Eh chin up, I don't think it's that weird. I mean tbh you're on a website where people casually talk about hentai  :laugh:

I've translated a doujin once that involved Touhou characters, a fish, a Predator from the Schwarzenegger movies and anal sex so trust me, I've seen weirder. And even then I wouldn't judge people that are into Predators and Fish. Mostly. I doubt anyone else here would as well. So you do you, there's no need to be ashamed.

The gao is strong with this one.

Generally I try to keep liquids even more translucent, smaller and less uniform because the thicker they get the less they feel like liquid and the more they feel like an object. Of course it all depends a lot on art style though!

Another thing is that water tends to reflect the ambient lighting of a scene and the surface that it sits on, so I would add pretty intense rim lights to any surface on liquid especially tears and stuff to make it pop out more. Drool I don't think behaves this way since it actually is a lot thicker. Lastly, getting the physics of liquids on surfaces is hard but I think you did a decent job here, keep it up!

Thanks a lot guys, haven't been lewding in a while but I haven't forgotten about this little corner of degeneracy. Been busy working away at personal projects lately however...

Is it weird that every time I design a new OC I get an urge to lewd them? Maybe I'll upload something quick when I get some time

See the hip area on the right? Yours is very very gradual which is what confused me a bit when I saw it, that is one area I think can be improved. The other thing is a bit nit picky but I think defining the curves a bit can make the form feel a little fuller. It's a rather tricky pose honestly, I THINK there is a bit of a twist going on with the way the hips are swaying. Either way I still like it, sorry if I cam across as nit picky!

Yeah I struggled quite a bit trying to figure out what to do with the other arm to be honest!

These are really good souper! I really like the belly dancer character. The only thing I can really critique about it is that the character appears somewhat flat and noodly. There is a lack of form and texture to the skin around the pelvis area where some overlap would be happening given her pose. The position of the shoulders could also be adjusted a bit, but otherwise I think you nailed that exotic feel. It's a very cute drawing!

That 2nd cover is a definitely bolder! Still, I think I like the first one a bit more. If you tweak the values so there is higher contrast between the figure and the background I think it'll work just fine. You could also try adding a black border to the figure, to really highlight the contrast.

One thing from an artistic viewpoint though is that your figure is kind of melding into the background right now because it appears quite flat. There are a few ways to remedy this, but better shading is probably the most straightforward way.

So far though, it's looking good, keep tweaking it! Let me know if you need clarification on any of my suggestions.
