these ones are from my 1000 figures.
I'm not drawing toes or details since I want to keep it simple, but not sure how to draw the hands as they feel more weird without fingers.
also I realised how bad my original figures were in that they are so far out of proportion that I can't fix the issues with one pass and will have to use multiple layers.

hopefully these pass the age test XD

They do pass the age test quite a bit better than the previous set, but there's not really a super big need to cater just to me. Loli-esque art could get you a lot of money from the right audiences. It's definitely a valid style that exists.

For hands I usually do a little shovel shape with an extra spoke for the thumb. The tip of the shovel is the middle and ring finger area, since that's usually the longest bit of hand. If you can bend that shovel shape around, usually it does a pretty good job of keeping the basic premise of a hand. Speaking of, in case you were curious, the tiny hands also may add to the child-like design factor from time to time.

well I'm trying to get a more general average style so I'd like to avoid my drawings looking overly childish when that isn't what I intended, even if I go on to draw cute chibi/loli for the majority of my art, I'd like to have the skill to be able to choose to draw it or not :)

Ah a shovel hand might try that :)
oh which reminds me I drew hands as if they were mittens once and that sort of worked.
I'll keep the hand size in mind too.

So I tried to make her look older. Let me know if I'm on the right track.

no idea why I keep going for big heads. well i do, but no idea why I don't notice that I'm doing it....
It's like a 10 year old habit from when I thought manga heads were super big I'm sure.

Welcome to the 100+ posts club.

As for the attempt to age up, she went from looking between 8 and 12 to looking between 16 and 20, so I'd say it's a success.

Trying more mature figures. A little stylised with a thinner waist. The 1000 figures totally helped losen me up and to lose my inhibitions of putting pen on paper, or tablet :P

Yeah, I can actually believe that some of those bodies exist. Good place to start for mature bodies; I don't feel like I need to shower after seeing them not being clothed yet.
