Oh sweet back online! Anyway, doodled out some character designs for level four of Reset even though I'm lazy and still haven't finished writing out level 3's ending. Derp. Anyway, here's what you can look forward to in the upcoming level.

Well, well. I haven't picked up a pen for drawing in a while. I'm very surprised at how loose all this was. I was just in a Discord chat talking about some projects and suddenly wanted to draw, and then I just kind of...did? Haha, I know it sounds simple, but it's a big sign that I've been going in the right direction with my mental health lately. I had the energy to do something, and I didn't let any anxiety stop me from having fun. I got a mental image, and I drew it. I had a funny short comic idea, and I sketched it (even though it's in pencil and probably hard to read--my apologies).

What really surprises me is that the figures actually look pretty okay. Nothing looks super broken. I'm actually pleased with this. I've described it as feeling "evolved" from my previous art, and "more expressive, maybe?". Let me know what you guys think.

Ugh as much as I want to keep this under wraps, I'm quite proud of how this one particular illustration turned out. This character is kind of a walking spoiler for one of my current writing projects that isn't Reset. After her reveal, I've been drawing her somewhat obsessively. And then, less than 24 hours after her reveal, she was lewded. Sorry not sorry.

Anyway, I figure since this illustration isn't surrounded by content writing and isn't too revealing of who she is, it should be fine. If not, I'm sure someone will hound me about it later. It's future!me's problem now.

Can Mahlua draw things that aren't spoilers to her own writing?

Unfortunately, I've been having a lot of issues doing digital art lately, so that probably won't be happening for a long time. With traditional, I feel much more in control of what I do. My art program and tablet issues give me so many headaches I was almost ready to literally pick up a cigarette again after months clean.

That turned out pretty well methinks. Colours are saturated but work somehow.

Yeh that's normal, so work with what treats you better. I wish I did more traditional stuff. It's a nice thing to have something tangible to hold.

I think maybe taking a photo with better light conditions would make it look better. I often use flash when I take photos so the page is nice and bright. you can use photo editing software etc to make the lines darker, in fact you could do that anyway to the photos to make the paper whiter.

that or using a lightbox/tracing onto a new page to get rid of all the sketchy parts would also look good.

You're good at getting the animal-features to fit nicely on the characters.

Using flash makes everything super blue and I hate it. The same tends to happen with every scanner I've ever used. My colors are almost always ruined, so I really stopped caring. I'm also used to a lot of my lines just not showing up period. In the case of the second to last image, the goal was sketching, not a polished illustration. When I want a polished illustration, as with the last image, I'll use pigment liners, not a ballpoint.

I am currently so frustrated with digital media that I do not trust the safety of my computer if I go anywhere near another art program of any variety. I might legit throw my computer to the ground and stomp the sh8t out of it. Just the thought of going near one annoys me and raises my blood pressure. So, when I consider the safety of my belongings and of my wallet...photo editing is out of the question.

ahhh I hadn't noticed the use of fineliner instead of ballpoint either. that makes sence.

All right, just like on MR, I'm gonna post a few things here as I collect and find them. I think in the six pictures below, I got most of the lewd stuff I've drawn, and uh. Imma be real there are a lot of PPs and TTs if you know what I mean. And some stuff that I'll put content warnings on because y'all might clench your thighs pretty hard looking at some of this.
